We have a close-knit family of staff whose primary aim is to ensure the comfort and relaxation of every guest.
Umlani Bushcamp is managed by Greg and Rouxle, Greg has 12yrs guiding experience and is a keen wildlife photographer and Rouxle a wildlife photographer, both grew up in the bush and have a wealth of knowledge and with their extensive management background and passion for the bush and its wildlife they will ensure your stay at Umlani is a memorable one.
Our management couple is assisted by Thembi the camp manager & Joana Mathebula the assistant manager, who have both been with Umlani for many years and grown with the organisation to become an essential part of our management team.
Rangers and Trackers
Shadrack, Amos and Sean are Umlani's experienced rangers, who will keep you informed and entertained with their extensive knowledge of all the animals big and small and flora found in the reserve. The rangers are accompanied by qualified and highly skilled trackers – Ephraim, Andrew and Cabinet who go out their way to bring you closer to nature on your safaris.
Our cooks, Lineth and Dumisile, will delight your taste-buds with their their blends of home-style South African meals. Umlani's house keepers Bongi, Lindiwe, Cresselda, Shirley and Susan will ensure that your huts are beautifully maintained on a daily basis, from the warm welcome note written out in pebbles on your bed as you arrive to the lantern lights that lead your way at night, these ladies bring the magic that is Umlani.
Our ever smiling waitresses Suzan and Matimba will ensure and that you receive personalized, friendly service throughout your stay with us. Our mission is to make you feel that Umlani is your home in the wild!
